On to Anchorage...

Heading over to Palmer and then Anchorage I’m feeling a bit worn for some reason. My mind being pulled back to the lower 48 a bit likely a part of it, I stop into a coffeshop in Palmer for a good while and then even bite the bullet and get a cheap hotel room in Anchorage to recharge and reassess. I literally recharge a host of the multitudes of batteries but also take a long shower as well as unpack and repack the van. I check her over and notice a small leak of what I assume is transmission fluid from a secondary heat radiator up front to keep an eye on, check all my fluids and find my only oil a bit low. Topping it off, refilling the windshield wiper fluid and cleaning windows after my shower, both she and I are in better shape for the road ahead. I resupply some fresh groceries, and even sit and read a bit. I walked a few blocks around my hotel, but the town doesn’t seem to offer much for me. I’m sure there’s a downtown area with bars and restaurants, but I can get that once this trip is over. It’s a bit of a low key day, but I likely needed it. Kenai pennensula and likely Seward tomorrow.
